Khaled Gaber Abdalla EL Sakty

biography

Since 2016, Prof. Khaled El Sakty has served as the Dean of the College of International Transport and Logistics at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. In addition, Dr. El-Sakty holds several prestigious positions, including Visiting Professor at many universities across the world. Dr. El Sakty obtained his PhD from the University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom, and he continues to pursue continuous learning and professional development through the acquisition of numerous professional certificates. Additionally, he holds the accreditation of a certified industrial engineer (CIE) in supply chain from Missouri State University, USA. Dr. El Sakty's commitment to advancing research and knowledge in his field is evident through his membership in the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology in Egypt. He also serves as the head of the technical office of logistics affairs in the Arab region. Furthermore, he plays a vital role in supervising the FIATA Diploma in Cairo. With extensive experience in the industry, Dr. El Sakty has held various positions as an international business consultant, certified trainer, and team leader in mega national projects across different countries. As a recognized authority in his field, Dr. El Sakty is frequently invited to be a keynote speaker at various academic conferences and seminars, where he shares his knowledge and insights with diverse audiences. His research findings and expertise have been published in numerous international journals. Dr. El-Sakty is an active member of esteemed professional societies, including the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in the UK since 2000 and the Arab Scientific Association for Transport in Egypt. He has been the recipient of several awards and scholarships, including the ESPO II award in 2011 in Greece and the HNI award in 2016. In 2019, he established the first bachelor's degree program in oil and gas logistics management in Egypt, further demonstrating his dedication to education and the development of future industry professionals. In 2020, his college received the prestigious EU accreditation FIBAA golden seal for logistics studies, making it the first college in Egypt to achieve this recognition. In recognition of his expertise and leadership, Dr. El Sakty was appointed as a Member of the Internal and International Land Transport Regulatory Authority of the Arab Republic of Egypt in 2021. This appointment highlights his commitment to shaping policies and regulations to drive positive change in the transportation sector.
