biography

Education 2015, Registered in PHD degree course. • 2011, M.Sc. Degree from the College of Maritime Transport and Technology (CMTT), AASTMT, Egypt, (Fleet Operation Management and Maritime Safety) on the thesis titled “Study the effectiveness of search and rescue service for passenger ships in Red Sea Region” • 2009, B.Sc. Degree from the College of Maritime Transport and Technology (CMTT), AASTMT, Egypt, (Maritime Transport and Navigation Technology) • 1994, Certificate of Competency as Master Mariner (F.G). The first and the second mate certificates were obtained in 1990 and 1987, respectively Experience • Co-ordinator of all navigation courses (9 courses), at the College of Maritime Transport & Technology (CMTT), Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport “AASTMT” since. • Marine Captain Lecturer, at the College of Maritime Transport & Technology (CMTT), Navigation Department, Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport “AASTMT” since 2007. • instructor, in Saudi Arabia coast guard institute from march 1995 till July 2007. • Marine merchant officer on Egyptian and Foreigner commercial ships, from 1988 up to 1994. Responsibilities • Currently, Captain Abdelkhalik is the Senior Lecturer of the terrestrial navigation 3 courses at the College of Maritime Transport & Technology " CMTT", Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport “AASTMT”, in addition, he is a Senior Lecturer at the MTT, Navigation Department, he is responsible for teaching terrestrial navigation 1-2-3 also terrestrial navigation for 2nd mate, and Search & Rescue courses. Capt. Abdelkhalik has a strong technical background and over 28 years of experience in the maritime field. Due to his solid administrating and managerial skills, he was selected to be a coordinator of terrestrial navigation 2& 3-course Courses, in this position he ensured that all technical and administrative aspects were performed in a fully professional, transparent, and ethical manner, and in line with the AASTMT regulations. • 1995 – 2007: instructor, in Saudi Arabia Coast Guard Institute responsible for modernization and development of Navigation and Search& Rescue, terrestrial navigation, marine safety, and watch-keeping courses. • 1988 – 1994: Merchant Marine officer on Egyptian and foreign commercial ships.
