Teaching Math in English Level 1

This is first level of four levels that is offered to math teachers with little or no experience in teaching math in English.

The certificate enhances their ability to formulate mathematical concepts in English and give clear presentations on such topics to a specialized or non-specialized audience Learners are assessed at the end of each level throughout oral and written exams.

The final grade in each course is based on learners’ performance on continual assessment measures and the final test.
Final course grades are NOT based on attendance

This course aims to:

  • Familiarize the students with the English statements and terms used to express the concepts of all the lessons assigned to the lower juniors’ stage
  • At the end of each lesson students can properly answer the questions and do the tasks of the lessons related to the following topics:

·       Positional values

·       Arithmetic operations

·       Factorization

·       Approximation

·       Common fractions
