PQI Supports El-Sewedy Steel in Qualifying New Plants for International ISO Certifications

In a proud achievement reflecting regional industrial advancement, the Productivity and Quality Institute (PQI) – Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – has successfully supported El-Sewedy Steel Company, a key player in Egypt’s and the Arab region’s iron and steel industry, in qualifying its two newly established factories in Sadat City for full ISO certification.

Through its consulting team and technical expertise, PQI implemented an integrated quality, environmental, and occupational health & safety management system for the new sites, in line with national responsibility and international best practices.

As a result of this collaboration, El-Sewedy Steel was awarded ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and ISO 45001:2018 certifications from SGS International, further strengthening the company’s position as one of the leading industrial entities in the region.

This success represents a deeper strategic partnership between PQI and El-Sewedy Steel, aligned with Egypt Vision 2030 and national efforts to enhance sustainability, industrial excellence, and workforce safety.
