As part of PQI’s mission to support capacity building in the food manufacturing sector, the Productivity and Quality Institute (PQI) – Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – successfully delivered a specialized training program titled "ISO 17025:2017 – Equipment Calibration" for the technical team at Silo Foods, located in El Sadat City.
The training was held from August 11 to 13, 2025, and was led by Dr. Mahmoud Zayda, an expert in quality systems and laboratory accreditation.
The program focused on the calibration of equipment in accordance with the ISO 17025:2017 requirements. It covered essential topics including traceability of measurements, evaluation of uncertainty, calibration procedures, and technical documentation—all vital elements for laboratory competence and quality assurance in testing environments.
This training reflects Silo Foods’ ongoing commitment to meeting international standards and PQI’s role in delivering high-impact training programs that support industrial excellence and sustainable development.
