AAST Celebrates Graduation of New Cohort of Master’s, Doctorate, and Professional Diploma Students in Quality Management

On Sunday, October 26, 2025, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology & Maritime Transport celebrated the graduation of a new cohort of Master's and Doctorate holders in Quality Management, in addition to graduates of the Professional Diploma in Healthcare Organization Accreditation Management and the Professional Diploma in Laboratory Quality Management and Accreditation. This cohort comprised 214 graduates from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Syria.

The ceremony was graced by distinguished guests, including H.E. Dr. Raed Ali Saleh Al-Jubouri, Minister Plenipotentiary and Director of Arab Organizations at the League of Arab States; Eng. Omar Al-Dabbas, Director General of the Jordan Maritime Authority and President of the AAST General Assembly; Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of AAST; Prof. Dr. Alaa Abdel Bari, Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Research; and Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rabou, Dean of PQI, alongside diplomatic and consular representatives and members of the Academy’s General Assembly.

Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar addressed the graduates, emphasizing their role as future leaders and ambassadors of excellence. He highlighted PQI’s unique postgraduate programs that combine academic depth with practical applications, aligned with global trends in quality and sustainability.

He also reviewed key PQI achievements during the year, including winning major training contracts with Egypt’s Chamber of Engineering Industries, obtaining national accreditations (e.g., GAHAR), securing international recognitions (NEBOSH Silver, IRCA “Premium Partner”), and expanding professional diplomas in healthcare, total quality, and patient safety.

Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Rabou commended the graduates for their dedication and noted that PQI’s success reflects a collective vision under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar. He praised the faculty and staff who contributed to the Institute’s growing role as a regional center of excellence in quality, innovation, and institutional development.
