Basnet Hamida bint Academy achieves silver at Nairobi Forum in her first participation after injury
Egyptian champion Basnet Hamida won a silver medal at the Nairobi Forum in her first appearance after an absence of about ten months.
The athlete under the leadership of coach Mohammed Abbas was crowned with the silver medal with a figure of 22.51 at a headwind speed of 1.6
Basnet suffered a second-degree connective muscle injury last August before the start of the World Athletics Championships in Hungary, as a result of which she was unable to participate in the competitions, despite traveling with the Egyptian mission.
It is worth mentioning that Basnet Hamida is the gold medalist at the Mediterranean Games for the 100-meter race, in addition to the gold of the 200-meter sprint.
