Arab Academy Cairo branch achieves the second overall ranking of the fifth sector championship for private universities and higher institutes 2024 Scoring 25 different trophies and 123 different medals
The sports teams of the Academy in Cairo branch achieved the second overall ranking of the fifth sector championship for private universities and higher institutes in its eighteenth edition, hosted by the American University in Cairo under the direct supervision of the Egyptian sports federation for universities the Egyptian sports federation for universities under the kind patronage of His Excellency Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research, Ministry of higher education and scientific research of Egypt, and His Excellency Dr. Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of youth and sports, and the Academy participated in it with a number of 316 students from the branches of the Academy in Cairo, and they were able to achieve a number of 123 medals, including 47 gold medals and 35 A silver medal and 41 bronze medals in 38 men's and women's tournaments, and winning 30 different cups, including 13 first-place cups, 7 second-place cups and 5 third-place cups, according to the following:
- First place Cup in the games of handball men and Speedball men and women, weapons men and women, Modern Pentathlon men and women, floor tennis men and women, badminton men Swimming Women, Squash Women and billiards men
- The cup of the second place in the games of Basketball Men, water polo men, Volleyball Men, CrossFit men, swimming men, Squash Men
- Third place Cup in basketball games 3*3 ladies, handball ladies and ergometer men and women
The closing ceremony and the awarding ceremony were held at the Basili Hall at the American University in Cairo in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Baha Mokhtar, head of the Championship and competitions sector at the Egyptian university sports federation, His Excellency Eng.Sherif El-Erian, vice president of the International Federation, president of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation, director of sports at the American University in Cairo, Dr. Shadi Abdulaziz, treasurer of the Egyptian Modern Pentathlon Federation, director of sports affairs at the Academy in Cairo, and the directors of sports activity at Egyptian universities.
