Dr. Hala Al-Saeed, Minister of Planning and Economic Development, and Dr. Adel Bilal, Vice President of the Arab Academy for Science,Technology and Maritime Transport, witnessed the signing ceremony of the cooperation protocol between the” Ministry of planning and economic development “represented by the” pioneers 2030 “project and the Arab Academy for science and technology represented by the” Entrepreneurship Center " to establish specialized programs to support innovative ideas for persons with disabilities and support entrepreneurs with special needs to establish their entrepreneurial projects and launch the first specialized incubator in this field in Egypt, which is also one of the first incubators in this field in the Arab region and Africa. Dr. Hala Al-Saeed stressed that supporting innovation and entrepreneurs and empowering various groups, the most important of which are people of determination and special needs to provide a supportive environment for them to integrate into society, is one of the main objectives of the Sustainable Development Strategy: Egypt Vision 2030, explaining that the success of the development process lies in the belief that the human being is the focus of development, and work to achieve justice and access to achieve the goals of sustainable development”.

The minister of planning and economic development added that the file of entrepreneurship and the integration and empowerment of people with disabilities and special needs receives great attention from the political leadership, noting that the recent World Youth Forum held in Sharm el-Sheikh weeks ago included its recommendations this framework, stressing that “the Ministry of planning and economic development” spares no effort in providing various means of support for this important file.


In conclusion, Dr. Wael Desouki, director of the entrepreneurship center at the Arab Academy, explained that the signing of this protocol today is an extension of the constructive and successful cooperation with the “pioneers 2030” project in Mashreq incubator, which is the first incubator to support entrepreneurs in the tourism sector.
He added “Desouki” that the Center for entrepreneurship and innovation will provide in the new incubator an integrated program that includes the provision of advisory services, guidance and guidance to the beneficiaries of entrepreneurs with disabilities, to help them develop their prototypes or technological applications to establish successful startups, explaining that the date of receiving applications to apply for the incubator program will be announced soon.
