ICT Minister Attends ICPC World Finals Awards Closing Ceremony in Luxor

The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat has attended the closing and Awards Ceremony of the 46th and 47th Annual International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) World Finals, on behalf of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

ICPC World Finals were hosted by the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) in Luxor, on April 14-18, under the patronage of President El-Sisi. From 111 countries, approximately 2,500 students representing 300 teams were selected out of the 20,000 teams that participated in the regional championships this year.The closing ceremony was held at the Temple of Hatshepsut, in the presence of the Governor of Luxor Mustafa Alham, AASTMT President Ismail Abdel Ghafar, ICPC President and CEO William Poucher, the former Minister of Education and ICPC Africa and Arab Steering Committee Chair Yousry El Gamal, the Commandant of the Military Technical College Mootaz Ebraheem Aboelnor, the Managing Director and CEO of Telecom Egypt Mohamed Nasr, and President of Luxor University Hamdy Mohamed Hussein.
