In response to the spread of COVID-19, the College of Language and Communication (CLC), Smart Village Campus, moves on with online learning via Moodle and Zoom meetings across all courses in the different semesters. Dr. Yasser Elshamy, Vice Dean for Education and Students Affairs, delivered an engaging practical session on Still Life Photography as part of the Photography course he delivers to Term 7 students. Students were introduced to what the concept means and how it is implemented in the simplest terms. In response to the educatiobal strategies of CLC as well as the measures taken against the spread of COVID-19, Dr. Yasser assigned students a research-based assessment task on Still Life Photography as a means of putting theory into practice and exploring creative ways of using their knoweldge in student-made products. The 7th week assessment plan aligns with declarations from the AASTMT Supreme Council of Education as all classes are moving online for the remainder of the spring semester.
