Vice President for Students Affairs Videoconferences with Student Union Members and the Leading CLCians of Go Media Society in Discussion of Future Students’ Activities Plans during the COVID-19 Outbreak

The Vice President for Students Affairs, Dr. Inas Barsoum, videoconferenced with the Student Union members and the leading CLCians of Go Media Society via “Zoom” application to discuss the future plans for students activities on Smart Village Campus during the COVID-19 outbreak. The videoconference was run under the supervision of the College Dean, Professor Hanan Youssef, the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Yasser Elshamy, the Vice Dean for Training and Community Services, Dr. Amira Ehsan, and the Head of the Humanities Department and Academic Advising, Dr. Heba Badr. Dr. Inas Barsoum called for the genuine collaboration among the Student Union, Clubs and Societies, and AAST Officials for the emotional wellbeing of students in order to overcome such hard times with the best results possible. Dr. Inas reiterated that AAST is in full support of all student activites during the COVID-19 period.

The videoconference was lighthearted in nature marking genuine and pleasant interactions among the meeting participants who expressed how pleased they were by this meeting and how eager they were to get back to field work and media coverage of AAST events and celebrations. They expressed their interest in moving on with Student Union duties during the COVID-19 period despite the current lockdown. The meeting participants have celebrated the birthday of the twin sisters, Nada Elmansy and Nadine Elmansy (Term four CLCians) who gracefully sang for them in return.
