The meeting of Session (56) of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action

H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail – President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), at the head of a high rank delegation from AASTMT, participated in the meeting’s activities of the (56th) session of the Higher Coordination Committee for Joint Arab Action headed by H.E. Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit - Secretary General of the League of Arab States, on Wednesday 24- 4- 2024.

The meeting’s activities were held with the participation of H.E. Ambassador Hossam Zaki - Assistant Secretary-General and Head of the Sector of the Secretary-General's Office and General Supervisor of the League of Arab States, H.E. Ambassador Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al-Maliki - Assistant Secretary-General of the League of Arab States and Head of the Economic Affairs Sector, and H.E. Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Raed Al-Jubouri - Director of the Arab Organizations and Federations Department at the League of Arab States, in addition to the participation of AASTMT delegation, including Dr. Ali Fahmy - Dean of AASTMT El Alamein College of Artificial Intelligence, and Dr. Mostafa Rashid - Assistant to AASTMT President for Arab Affairs.

During the meeting activities, some topics were presented related to the role of digital technology and artificial intelligence in enhancing Arab economic integration, in addition to discussing a number of important economic topics in supporting the joint Arab action system and following up on the implementation of previous decisions, in addition to the outputs of the two Arab summits and the assignments of the Arab summits to the General Secretariat of the League and specialized Arab organizations. It is worth mentioning that H.E. Secretary General of the League of Arab States praised AASTMT pioneering and distinguished role in the field of artificial intelligence, whether at the Arab Republic of Egypt or at the Arab and international levels, through the establishment of the first college for artificial intelligence in Egypt at AASTMT El Alamein Campus College of Artificial Intelligence and the graduation of the first batch in July 2023.
