Introduction to Artificial Intelligence

Description

The field of artificial intelligence attempts to create computer programs that reflect the values of human intelligence. This course will provide an introduction to the fundamental concepts and techniques underlying the construction of intelligent computer systems. In order to construct such systems, the student needs to have full understanding of the basic areas in Artificial Intelligence, such as problem solving and searching, logic and knowledge representation, planning, reasoning, decision making, learning, and many other areas in which active research is ongoing. The course objectives are to learn techniques and theory developed in major areas of Artificial Intelligence and to learn about the state of the art in Artificial Intelligence.
