Description

This course introduces the use of information systems in organizations. The course will focus on what information systems are, how they affect the organization and its employees, and how they can make businesses more competitive and efficient. It includes basic concepts necessary to prepare students to deploy information systems in industry. It includes practical work to familiarize students with basic software productivity tools. Students are expected to be familiar enough with the tools to use them in other courses of the program as they progress through their degree. It provides a ground basis for further study of advanced information system concepts taught later in the program.
