Description

This course relates the development of skin care products and the anatomical and physiological aspects of the various types of skin and the most prevalent skin disorders. The course encompasses the formulation, evaluation, and appropriate use of various skin care products, including skin creams, skin powders, skin whitening products, sun care products, cleansing products, anti-aging formulations, makeup products, as well as antiperspirants and deodorants. This course will also discuss colored cosmetics, nail care, shaving, and oral health products such as toothpaste, powder, gel, and whitening dentifrices, cleansers, gargles, and mouthwashes. Students will acquire full understanding of the formulation process of commonly used cosmetic products through engaging in thorough laboratory practical sessions.
