The course will introduce the students with information about the nourishment for females during pregnancy and lactation period. Also, the ways in which nutritional requirements fluctuate and change before and after conception, during pregnancy, and during lactation period will be explained. This course will address the basic elements of how and why dietary needs vary during pregnancy, lactation, and gestation, with an emphasis on the trimester period as a critical time that shapes health across the lifetime. An overview of the dietary needs that arise during pregnancy and nursing. Among the main topics covered are the nutritional needs of newborns, the makeup of human milk and formula, feeding strategies for infants and toddlers, and nutrition during pregnancy and breastfeeding.
