Abstract

To strengthen the role of the Egyptian Universities in the achievement of the environmental Sustainable Development Goals – or “SDGs” – through enhancing their organizational governance capacities, creating current and future SDGs implementers, and upgrading their operational facilities necessary to the implementation of innovative practices for the achievement of the environmental SDGs.

Objectives

  1. o embody the principles of the environmental SDGs through organizational governance and strategic management of the Egyptian universities in order to ensure the alliance of their strategies with the SDGs. To build organizational and internal capacity, as well as ownership of the environmental SDGs through the establishment of the Sustainable Development Center “SDC” within the Egyptian Universities, which will be in charge of enhancing and providing necessary knowledge, skills, and motivation to understand and address the environmental SDGs. To foster the achievement of the environmental SDGs in the Egyptian Universities through boosting their operational capacities in developing environmentally sustainable campuses.
