The academic year 2023–2024 marked a significant leap in AASTMT’s progress toward Sustainable Development Goal 9, as the university strengthened its commitment to innovation, resilient infrastructure, and sustainable industrial development. Through expanded research initiatives, enhanced technological facilities, and stronger partnerships with industry and community stakeholders, AASTMT continued to build an ecosystem that supports creativity, entrepreneurship, and future-driven solutions. These collective efforts not only elevated the institution’s performance indicators for SDG 9 but also reinforced its role as a regional leader in driving inclusive and sustainable growth.
SDG 9 recognizes that humanity's ability to connect and communicate effectively, move people and things efficiently, and develop new skills, industries and technology, is crucial in overcoming the many interlinked economic, social and environmental challenges in the 21st century
AASTMT established its Entrepreneurship Center “AASTEC”, with the objective of empowering youth to drive the realization of sustainable economic growth in the region. The Center’s works “to be the regional hub that empowers youth, supports startups and businesses throughout the Arab region and Africa”, the aim of " Entrepreneurship, innovation, and industry support policy "is to support creativity and innovation as one of AASTMT top priorities.
