Description/Outcomes This course covers comprehensively the latest technologies related to wireless communication in various aspects, ranging from physical aspects up to applications issues. In particular, it will cover topics related to protocols and performance evaluation techniques, as well as application, security, simulation and energy management issues involved in wireless networks.The assignments will be given in the form of group discussions, seminars, quiz competitions and many other activities as well as practical form, which will measure the intellectual status of the students.

objectives The course provides the students with knowledge needed to understand wireless communication. It introduces radio propagation and transmission principles used in different wireless communication systems. Describe generations of Mobile cellular networks together with examples for these generations.Understand the difference and/or relationships between wired and wireless networks. Experience with different wireless communication systems such as WLANs and WSNs. Explore various new wireless communication technologies including Internet of Things.Illustrate various types of mobile networks, and how they work. Describe various types of ad-hoc network protocols. Explore the importance of wireless network security.Examine different types of security breaches.
