Description/Outcomes This course introduces students to the problems and solutions of creating original graphics for the Web. Using computer applications, students will design images for background, text, graphics, navigation and animation. Students will learn to use appropriate colors, file formats and compression methods in crating graphics and layouts specific for the web world.
Throughout the course students will be involved with the technologies used to create graphics for the web page along with case studies for the benchmark internet sites which demonstrate using graphics design for the web.

1. Understand the different format of web images.
2. Understand the basics of web page design.
3. Understand the principles of Home Page Design.
4. Apply CSS in web page formatting.
5. Apply and Analyze the benchmark software packages as Photoshop and Flash Products.
6. Create animated GIFs.
7. Apply ASP and PHP to make dynamic designs.
