Biography

  • Dr. Abeer M. Refky M. Seddeek is currently the Acting Dean of the College Language and Communication College (CLC), Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT). ٍShe is also currently director of the Postgraduate Studies Programme in Applied Linguistics, a joint programme with Alexandria University since 2013. She currently holds three different positions in three scientific international journals (reviewer, editor, and member of the advisory board). Dr. Seddeek Worked as the Dean of the Institute for Language Studies (ILS) at AASTMT from Nov. 2011 till Oct. 2016. Her job responsibilities entail supervising all the courses taught at the CLC (Alexandria) and updating them. She is particularly interested in English, American and Irish literature as well as Translation. She has a teaching experience of 24 years teaching a variety of courses in English

  • Concluding an agreement with IDP IELTS Australia to conduct IELTS international exam at AAST campuses in Feb 2013.The Institute for Language Studies in Alexandria is now an accredited testing centre across Egypt
    Concluding an agreement with Cambridge ESOL to conduct Cambridge international exams along with preparation courses at the Arab Academy in May 2013. The Institute for Language Studies is now an Authorised Testing Centre for Cambridge Esol exams in Egypt.
