Postdoctoral Studies: Short-term post doctorate studies during August-September 2007 at the University of Southern California (USC), as a visiting scholar at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Dept. studying online health monitoring of structures.
The CSSP Bibliotheca Alexandrina (International Alexandria Library) research grant prize 2005/2006 in the field of "Engineering and Technology". The personal grant is yearly awarded to ed young professors to conduct advanced research in special hot research topics. The competition took place among more than 200 ed researchers in the different fields of science including engineering and technology. The competition was refereed by international academic advisors from universities across the globe not including Egyptian universities. The topic of the winner project was: “Controlled Realtime Health Monitoring of Structures.” The full awarded budget was 40000 EGP along a full calendar year.
Promoted exceptionally in 2006 to be a 1st grade Lecturer by H.E. Dr. Gamal Mokhtar, the President of the Arab Academy of Science and Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) on the Occasion of winning the CSSP Bibliotheca Alexandrina (International Alexandria Library) research grant prize 2005/2006 in the field of "Engineering and Technology".
