launching the Egypt Rally & Summit of Entrepreneurship Centers and Business Incubators at Universities

On December, 16th, AASTMT Smart Village Branch, The Arab Academy hosted Egyptian universities, launching the Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally, and the Summit of Entrepreneurship Centers and Business Incubators at Universities, in partnership with the National Bank of Egypt and in cooperation with the Business Egypt Program funded by USAID and implemented by DAI.

Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy, at the Academy's branch in Smart Village, in the presence of Dr. Nermine Shehabeldine,Head of Corporate Communication and CSR,National bank of Egypt, and representatives from 35 Egyptian Universities, launched the beginning of the eighth session of the Egypt Entrepreneurship Rally Competition, which is held in a strategic partnership with the National Bank of Egypt.

On the other hand, the first summit of entrepreneurship Centers Support was also held on the same day, in the presence of a group of representatives of Egyptian universities, including faculty members and students, representatives of entrepreneurial communities from various universities and entrepreneurship experts and investors from the Egyptian ecosystem.

These activities were preceded, over the course of two days, by intensive training camps for students of entrepreneurship communities (Rally Society), which was held in parallel with the Ripple program to develop strategies supporting the rally competition. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar expressed his welcome for hosting various activities supporting youth Universities and entrepreneurs, praising the continued support from the Arab League and its Secretary-General, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit For Egyptian and Arab youth for various activities.

For her part, Dr. Nermine Stated that the bank’s partnership, for the fourth year in a row, of the Rally Egypt program comes within the framework of its role in supporting Egyptian youth and building their capabilities in light of the bank’s orientation towards the knowledge economy and spreading financial culture among various segments of society, especially youth. Dr. Abdel Ghaffar explained that the vision for these programs is to support and develop the entrepreneurship ecosystem in universities, through integration between the rally competition and its outcomes of innovative student ideas on the one hand, and the Ripple program to support entrepreneurship centers and business incubators in universities and the important role of the directors of those centers and incubators in supporting innovation.
