Reports

Reports of the safety investigation that include the direct and root causes shall be submitted in any of the three working languages of the International Maritime Organization - English, French and Spanish. If the report is in another language, it should include a summary in one of them.

States (maritime administrations of states) should provide preliminary information within a period not exceeding six months of the occurrence of very serious marine accidents.
