We, the top management and work force of Maritime Examination Center (MEC), the accredited center in conducting examinations for certificates of Competency (COC) for Masters,officers and marine engineers and certificates of proficiency (COP) for seafarers on behalf of the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety is fully committed to achieve higher level of national and international customer satisfaction through the following aims and objectives:
- Setting the required controls to maintain and achieving the standards and norms determined by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) for various marine certificates within the STCW 78 convention as amended .
- To achieve higher and competitive level of performance in updating Data Bank examinations regarding to International maritime organization (IMO) requirements.
- To invest in continual development of our staff at all levels, to ensure satisfying the needs of our customers.
- To continually improve our services, and Quality Management System.In order to achieve the above aims and objectives, the Maritime Examination Center (MEC) has developed and implemented a Quality Management System that meets the requirements of ISO 9001/2008. The Executive Management shall ensure that this policy and the Management System are reviewed throughout periodical audits.
