The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) organized its international conference "Culture and Media Modern Trends"
The conference was held in the presence of Prof. Dr. Samy Abdel Aziz, expert of Media and Public Relations , Faculty of mass communication, Cairo University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Anani, Professor of English Literature, Cairo University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Khouly, Senior Translator at the United Nations Organization, Prof. Dr. Hassan Emad Professor Faculty of Mass Communication, Cairo University.
Prof. Mona Makram Ebeid, Professor of Political Science at the American University in Cairo, Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport.
Prof. Abdel Ghaffar said that the conference, organized by the Faculty of Language and Media at the Arab Academy, aims to provide an opportunity for researchers from the different universities in Egypt and abroad, to create a dialogue based on exploring the close relationship between culture and media and the reflection this relationship on the fields of humanities And community science.
The conference focuses also on the integration and communication between culture, media, language, communication, modern media, digital media, cultural diversity, literature, media, ethics, media culture, literary adaptation, false news, informatics, TV drama, national identity, translation, media, and culture.
He stressed that the media in all its forms are part of the culture of society spoken or used. Also The relationship between media and culture is closely interrelated, evolving together and affects each other.
Abdul Ghaffar said”the positive media is too important in the face of the destructive and messages.”
The President of the Academy expressed his admiration for the idea of the conference and thanked Dr. Azza Heikal, Dean of the Faculty of Language and Information.
For her part, Dr. Azza Heikal, Dean of the Faculty of Language and Information, said that the conference of the Faculty of Language and Information is our first conference which based on the language and its implications and the modern media and its influence on the public opinion negatively or positively from a cultural perspective.
