Dual Degree

Dual Degree with the University of Northampton

The College of Computing and Information Technology (CCIT) at AASTMT offers an international dual degree program in collaboration with the University of Northampton, United Kingdom, in the fields of Computer Science and Software Engineering.

This partnership combines the academic strength and regional leadership of AASTMT with the global reputation and expertise of the University of Northampton, providing students with a high-quality, internationally recognized education and a wider range of academic and career opportunities.

About the Partnership

The partnership brings together AASTMT’s experience in computing education and the academic standards of a UK university. Students are taught by academics from both institutions. The curriculum follows UK higher education quality requirements, so students get a UK academic experience without leaving Egypt. Teaching, assessment, and quality assurance are monitored jointly to ensure that graduates meet the learning outcomes of both universities.

Programs Offered

  • BSc in Computer Science: AASTMT BSc + BSc (Hons) Computer Science, University of Northampton
  • BSc in Software Engineering: AASTMT BSc + BSc (Hons) Software Engineering, University of Northampton

Program Structure

Each program takes four years. Students begin with a foundation year at AASTMT. The remaining three years form the dual degree phase, delivered under the joint academic framework of AASTMT and the University of Northampton. All teaching takes place on the AASTMT campus.

Why Choose the Dual Degree?

  • Two degrees, one study path: graduate with separate certificates from AASTMT and a UK university.
  • International recognition: a UK honours degree supports applications for postgraduate study and employment abroad.
  • UK academic standards: the curriculum, assessment and quality assurance meet UK higher education requirements.
  • Study in Egypt: get a UK qualification without the cost of living and studying overseas.
  • Career readiness: the programmes build a solid base in computing theory along with practical software development, design, and project work.
