Ahmed Tarek has been working at the Arab Academy for Science Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT) since 2009 as a teaching assistant. He gained his Master's Degree in Global Logistics and Supply Chain Management from the University of Huddersfield in the United Kingdom in 2011.

Before working at AASTMT, Ahmed held the position of a logistics planner at LEONI Wiring Systems company. Ahmed is currently a part time research student at the University of Huddersfield, UK and is expected to gain his PhD within the next 3 years. His main focus is on demand forecasting models, modular product design, inventory management, value chain management, and logistics information system applications.
