Description

This course covers standard interior building systems including partitions, ceilings, floors, and stairs. Students learn about glazing, woodwork, hardware, structural coordination, barrier free design and the international building code. The creation of functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces requires not only sensitivity to aesthetics but also a strong grounding and understanding of construction systems. Students learn about floor, wall, ceiling and other construction methods in a lecture and discussion format.
