Since its foundation in 1972, AASTMT has achieved great progress not only in the field of education, but also in the field of scientific research, innovation and institutional development. The College of Pharmacy is one of the Academy's newest entities and a part of the medical sector, which is witnessing great development in our prestigious institution. In fact, the College of Pharmacy-AASTMT seeks to graduate distinguished pharmacists who are properly trained to deal with the challenges of local and regional settings consistently with the appropriate health care guidelines that qualify graduates to work in private and governmental pharmacies, hospitals, factories, companies for pharmaceuticals, medical supplies and devices, distribution companies, control authorities and all basic fields of pharmaceutical work. In a parallel way, the College of Pharmacy prepare graduates capable of advancing newly-introduced fields of the pharmacy profession in Egypt such as pharmacovigilance, hospital therapeutic nutrition, pharmacoeconomics and supply chain management, healthcare quality assurance and infection control as well as working in the academic field in research centers and universities.
The College's main objective is to achieve leadership in all educational services provided through applying the concept of continuous improvement and maintaining a balance between teaching the core foundations of pharmaceutical sciences and adopting recent developments in the fields of pharmaceutical practice, patient care and practical training. Being a part the AASTMT, College of Pharmacy provides a unique opportunity through offering courses in interdisciplinary areas such as Business, Quality Management, Informatics, Logistics and Entrepreneurship that have been designed and delivered by experts, and thus ensuring a broader experience for the College’s graduates. Since 2020, the College of Pharmacy is a member of the International Pharmaceutical Federation (FIP) in addition to achieving cooperation with several national and international institutions in the fields of education, training and scientific research. Furthermore, the College comprises an active advisory board whose members include prominent figures from the industry and healthcare community. In order to ensure high-quality services for the students and community, the College puts forth the continuous development of educational resources, laboratories, faculty and infrastructure as its major objective.
Within the framework of the Academy's achievements in international ranking in all fields of quality of education, scientific research and implementation of sustainable development goals, the distinguished working team at the college of Pharmacy and myself, we are all proud of belonging to our prestigious educational institution and will work hard and strive for achieving development and progress to reach the highest levels of excellence through implementation of the College mission and goals by following the steps that this ambitious strategic plan.
