RMSI has experienced Maritime Security Experts to execute the following:
- Develop the security plans for ships and ports/port facilities according to the requirements of international codes, conventions, national legislations, and companies' policies.
- Conduct the security exercises, drills, and audits onboard ships and within ports/port facilities in accordance with STCW 78, as amended in 2017, and the ISPS Code.
- Conduct the IMO Validated courses in the field of Maritime Security according to STCW 1978, Manilla's amendments 2010, and ISPS Code.
- Conduct other tailored maritime security programs, courses, and workshops to meet the special requirements for seafarers and ports/port facilities personnel. (hybrid system)

Establishment
- The RMSI was established in September 2003 at AASTMT to implement international requirements of the maritime security, ISPS Code, and relevant agreements and codes.
- The RMSI has been approved and accredited as a recognized security organization (RSO) by the Egyptian Maritime Transport and Logistics Sector under Decree No. 15 of 2004, and by the Egyptian Authority for Maritime Safety. RMSI is also recognized in several other Arab and African countries for its role in implementing maritime security standards and ISPS Code.
- The RMSI has been certified by (ISO 9001:2015) from the certification body DNV.
Our Vision
The RMSI is looking to be a distinguished Maritime Security Center for providing counseling, training, and research in Egypt, Africa, and Arab countries.
Our Mission
The RMSI qualifies all personnel in the maritime transport industry in the field of services and all other activities concerning maritime security to meet all requirements nationally, regionally, and internationally using updated technology to achieve international accreditations and standards.
