With the participation of 5,000 students and 114 Arab and African universities and institutions, the College of Language and Communication in Alexandria wins 4 places in the largest international competition for media students’ graduation projects.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, Prof. Dr. Abeer Refky, Dean of CLC, and under the supervision of Dr. Bassant Mohamed Atteya, Head of the Media Department.
The Media and Digital Transformation Foundation, headed by the journalist writer Abdel-Gawad Abu Kab, announced the full results of its Arab and African versions of the media creativity competition dedicated to media students` graduation projects, which is the largest at the regional and global levels, which resulted in the college winning four awards at the Arab and African levels through participation.. With the graduation projects of the college students for the year 2022, which are:
Firstly: the national competition:
- Special Creativity Award in Cinema Projects
- Second place for the "Egyventure" project in the category of public relations and advertising projects on sports tourism in Egypt.
Secondly: the Arab competition
First place for "Relation-Chip" in the feature films and cinemas category, a short feature film on the negative impact of technology on individuals` lives.
Thirdly: the African competition
- First place in the research and studies category for a research entitled:
- Deconstructing the frames of Arab refugees in Western media documentaries:Case study on BBC News and BBC Arabic by Dr. Bassant Mohamed Atteya
In this context, Prof. Dr. Abeer Refky, Dean of CLC, extends her sincere greetings to Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Academy, and other faculty members in the Department of Media, Dr. Dalia Othman, Dr. Amr Ebeid, Dr. Shedwan Sheba, Dr. Rajaa Al Ghamrawy and the assistant supervisory authority for these distinguished projects and graduates, wishing them constant progress and success, and for more excellence and creativity to the students of the Faculty of Language and Media at the main headquarters in Alexandria.
