Beyti field visit
On Sunday, February 27, 2022, the College of International Transport and Logistics in El Alamein organized a scientific visit within the college’s strategy to enrich the educational process by linking theoretical studies with many practical applications and standing on the leading business models in the Egyptian market. The International Company for Food Processing Projects `Beyti` hosted group of students from the Logistics and Supply Chain Management Department, in addition to the Hull Program students at the college in its factories in Nubaria, Beheira Governorate.
They were welcomed by Mr. Amr Al Shalakany, Director of Security, Safety and the Site. Engineer/ Muhammad Tawfiq, Production Manager, Engineer/ Shadi Farid, Technical Department Manager, Engineer/ Tamer Ebeid, Quality Manager, Professor/ Ehab Fouad, Logistics Manager, Engineer/ Muhammad Abdullah, Director of Human Resources for Operations, and Engineer/ Mahdi Abu Al-Dahab, Department Manager Food safety and Mr. Hussein Diab from the Distribution Planning Department. They have made a comprehensive presentation on the activities and history of the company and the competitive position in the Egyptian and global market. The presentation also reviewed the activities of logistics and supply chains, in addition to reviewing the international certificates that are unique to the company in food safety, occupational health and safety and quality requirements. The students toured the factory and production lines for Almarai and Pepsi products, and got acquainted with production and logistical activities. Beity is one of the largest producers of dairy and juices in the Egyptian market, with more than 86 million consumers with diverse aspirations, tastes and requirements.
The company was established in 1998 by acquiring the largest commercial dairy farm in Egypt from the Saudi group “Dallah Al Baraka”. Beyti currently offers various food products to the local market and export markets such as 100% natural milk, yoghurt and delicious flavored yoghurt drinks. Beity has invested millions of dollars to set up a state-of-art dairy plant and provide it with the latest technological equipment and automated control systems in order to provide dairy and food products from the company`s farm to the consumer directly. The company`s factory is located on the Cairo-Alexandria desert road, and the factory is characterized by increasing production efficiency through the use of innovative designs and the best technologies in the food industry. The company was also keen to provide the factory with high-speed manufacturing machines, allowing the ability to produce a variety of dairy products and juices according to the highest standards of quality, health and safety. In 2002, the factory was awarded “Factory of the Year” by European dairy magazine for its unique factory design. It is worth noting the brand of the company`s products "Beyti", which reflects the company`s commitment to the safety of the products and their compliance with health standards, while not including any harmful additives or preservatives. The company also applies the best quality standards, ensuring the provision of fresh and natural products for a healthy and safe life.
The company started marketing “Beyti” milk in Egypt for the first time in 2002, and distinguished itself among the competing companies by using an innovative design for milk containers. The company`s successes contributed to the expansion in the field of juice manufacturing in 2007. By the end of 2009, the distinctive Beyti brand was acquired by the International Dairy and Juice Company, which was established as a result of a partnership between PepsiCo International and Almarai, the leading dairy company in the region.
