AASTMT Vitally Contributes to Egypt’s Implementation Roadmap on Solid Waste Management
Solid Waste Management systems are a vital policy regionally and on a global level. The AASTMT has had a pivotal role in influencing the policy and implementing roadmap towards improving the systems of solid waste management in Egypt. Over the last 4 years AASTMT has partnered with the Egyptian Government and it plays an important participatory research body in embracing and innovating a new and effective solid waste management system.

AASTMT Workshop on "Analyzing the Real Situation of the Arab Ports and harbors with the participation of all Arab countries.
AASTMT conducted the workshop to analyze the current state of ports and harbors in Arab countries. This program aims to promote collaboration among Arab states, with a focus on the Egyptian government's engagement. The workshop provides an excellent opportunity for Arab nations to work together to solve the challenges and opportunities confronting their ports and harbors. Through active involvement and knowledge sharing, the workshop aims to improve the efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness of Arab maritime transport.

AAST signed MoU with Urban Development Fund February 2023, The Urban Development Fund focuses on projects in Egypt’s capital cities and governorates, aiming to protect areas with unique characteristics. Both sides agree on Knowledge exchange in the field of urban development in the way to support modern urban and sustainable development. Project: Towards an Integrated Egyptian Maritime Transport Sector: Horizontal and Vertical Integration of Egyptian Commercial Ports
The expected result of this project is a strategic plan for the Egyptian maritime transport sector utilizing the concepts of horizontal and vertical integration under the envisioned context of PDM. Special attention will be given to the national container companies operating under the supervision of the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport (HCMLT), affiliated with the Egyptian government. The findings will then be scaled to tackle the congestion problem at the port level.

Project: Application of Renewable Energy Technologies for Green Ports: Egyptian Ports as a Case Study
As a case study, this project researches the possibility of changing Egyptian Ports over to be an eco- friendly port with the emphasis on technical, logistic, and financial prerequisites.

NTRA Signs Cooperation Protocols with AASTMT
