10.2.1 Proportion of first-generation students
AASTMT provides information on its student demographics, which helps in estimating the proportion of first-generation students. In 2021-2022 the percentage of first-generation students starting a degree was equivalent to 63% of the total number of students starting a degree in this academic year.
AASTMT has a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. The university offers a number of programs and initiatives to support students from underrepresented backgrounds, including first-generation students. These programs and initiatives may help to increase the proportion of first-generation students at AASTMT.
