The Ambassador of Panama praises the potential of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport
Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, received on Tuesday, 26 June, Ambassador Alejandro Ivan Mendoza , Ambassador of Panama in Cairo and his accompanying delegation at the Academy`s headquarter in Abu-Kir, Alexandria.
At the beginning of the meeting, the President of the Academy dr Abdel Ghaffar welcomed the Panamanian Ambassador, expressing his happiness for this visit. He also expressed his keenness to strengthen the relations between the Academy and Panama through cooperations in the fields of logistics and maritime.
During the meeting, the President of the Academy gave to the ambassador a brief presentation about the academy and its Faculties and the agreements cooperation between the Academy and the major universities in the world, as well as the exchange programs.
For his part, the Ambassador of Panama thanked Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar for his hospitality , praising the great role played by the Academy in rehabilitating its students scientifically and practically.
Also the Panamanian ambassador in Cairo praised what he saw in the Academy like advanced facilities and He also discussed with Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar the strategy of the Academy and its future vision, noting that since he took office in Egypt 8 months ago and during this period he is following with attention the news of the academy.
He added that he is looking forward to closer relations between the Academy and Panama To achieve mutual benefit for both sides. He said also that maritime trade is one of the most important pillars of the economy in Panama and for that the logistics, infrastructure and ports have been developed.
At the end of the visit, the Panamanian Ambassador toured the Academy and the Planetarium Center and they exchanged souvenirs.
