Introduction

Considering The vitality of practical site training and enforcing skills and preparation to the workforce without the need for specialized training courses, the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport provides opportunities for practical training locally and abroad and exerts intensive effort to enhance the quality of training and continuous development to cope with the progressive technological development. This is to ensure the object use, and the quality of training through a process of standardizing and setting the appropriate criteria and requirements.there are three categories of Local training namely (Experiential Learning 1, 2, and 3)Experiential Learning 1:Represents the first of the “Training Rotation Series”. Activities for this course are designed to introduce the students to basic management and orientation skills in different pharmacy practice settings in Community Pharmacies (160 actual training time in summer). Students are required to identify drug dispensing procedures. Students are closely followed by training site preceptors and report to College preceptors in weekly progress review meetings.Experiential Learning 2: Represents the second of the “Training Rotation Series”. training in Community Pharmacies (160 actual training time in summer). Students are required to identify and track drug ordering and supply methods, drug pricing structures, drug dispensing procedures, and human resource aspects in each setting they rotate to. Experiential Learning 3:Represents the third of the “Training Rotation Series”. Activities for this course are designed to train the students to provide patient care in hospital pharmacies (80 actual training hours) and drug manufacturing factories (80 actual training time). Students are required to perform basic and intermediate complexity activities including patient education, medication reconciliation, recommendation of non-prescription items for minor ailments, and assessment of drug therapy efficacy.
