1- Political relations:
Egypt and Ghana are related by strong ties from the 1950s since Ghana's independence from Britain in 1957.
The first President for Ghana was married to an Egyptian Lady "Fathia Nikoroma".
2- Economic relations:
Relations between Egypt and Ghana are witnessing great development especially in the economic and development fields.
The two countries are trying to take advantage of the capabilities and expertise of each to push the development process.
The trade volume between Egypt and Ghana during 2012 reached about $ 82 million, where the Egyptian exports to Ghana amount was about $ 70 million and Egyptian imports from Ghana was about $ 12 million.
The most important Egyptian exports to the Ghanaian market are building materials, paints, cement and steel structures for buildings, food, juices, and shuttle buses, the most important Egyptian imports from the Ghanaian market are cocoa and timber for furniture industry.Egypt presence in Ghana:

• Mantrac Motors Mutual Visits:
• Visit by Ambassador / Hamdy Loza, Deputy Foreign Minister for African Affairs to Accra in February 2014 during the visit he met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Ghana, and the defense minister.
• Assistant Foreign Minister for African Affairs and African Union, Ambassador Mona Omar visited Ghana, in October 2010.
• Minister of Investment attended the Investment Forum in Ghana, in September 2010.Contractual frameworkJoint Committee:
The Egyptian Ghanaian Joint Committee was established in November 1989, and the first meeting was held in Cairo, then the second meeting was held in Accra in March 1998.
