• Diplomatic ties between the two countries were established in the end of fiftieth and early of sixtieth.Mutual Visits :
• From 23 – 24 November 2009, the Egypt Air delegation visit Mozambique to participate in the 41st Annual Conference of the General Association for African Airways.
• From 17 – 26 September 2009, Egyptian National Team for Basketball (Youth) visit Mozambique to participate in the African Champion.
• From 19 – 23 February 2009, Assistant of Minister of Foreign Affairs visit Mozambique and meeting Mozambique Officials.
Contractual Framework:The Egyptian embassy in played a main role to strengthen the relations between and , the Cooperation between two sides concluded in some Treaties and Agreements as follows:
1. Agreement between the Egyptian fund for Technical Cooperation with Africa and (1985).
2. Agreement to Establish the Joint Committee (1995).
3. Agreement for Cooperation in the Economical and Technical field (1998).
4. Agreement on Protection of Investment (1998).
5. Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Science and Technology field (1998).
6. Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in the Agriculture field (2005).
7. Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Interior and Police field (2006).
8. Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Labor field (2006).
9. Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation in Tourism field (2008).
