The Cultural and Social Activities Department in Abu Qir organized a visit to the Waterworks branch to support the activities of marine hospitality students and enhance student communication on May 10, 2026.

The Cultural and Social Activities Department at Abu Qir organized a visit to the Academy's branch in Wabbour El-Miyah, as part of the Deanship of Student Affairs' commitment to fostering direct communication with students across all branches and listening to their suggestions and needs regarding student activities. Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm, Dean of Student Affairs, warmly welcomed the visit, which was in response to the wishes of students in the Maritime Hospitality Department who wanted to showcase several of their department's activities. They also discussed their requests for increased student events and activities, similar to those organized at the Abu Qir and Miami branches. Professor Dr. Mohamed Abu El-Azm was accompanied on the visit by Dr. Alia Mounir, Head of the Administrative Follow-up Department at the Deanship of Student Affairs in Abu Qir, and Mr. Mustafa Kamel, Head of the Cultural and Social Activities Department at the Miami branch. Direct meetings were held with students to hear their opinions and suggestions on developing student activities and enhancing active participation within the branch. The delegation received a warm welcome from Dr. Marwa Essam, Dean of the Maritime Hospitality Institute; Captain Medhat Youssef, the branch's Administrative Director; Mr. Magdy Rayan Demerdash, the center's Administrative Officer; Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Abadi, Educational Coordinator; Mr. Marwan Adel, Educational Coordinator; Mr. Mohamed Magdy Ibrahim, Discipline Officer; and Mr. Khaled Ahmed, Head of Practical Training at the institute. The atmosphere reflected a spirit of cooperation, teamwork, and a commitment to providing the best educational and student services. During the meeting, Professor Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm emphasized that the Deanship of Student Affairs, under the guidance and support of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, is dedicated to providing a comprehensive university environment that supports student activities and contributes to developing students' skills and refining their abilities, thereby fostering a sense of belonging and positive participation within the academic community. The Dean of Student Affairs commended the maritime hospitality students for their active participation and their commitment to developing activities within the branch. He emphasized that the Deanship continuously strives to support various branches across colleges and institutes, thereby achieving integration between the educational process and student activities. The visit concluded in a positive atmosphere, reflecting the spirit of mutual respect and appreciation between the students and the academy administration. Thanks were extended to all those involved in organizing the meeting and for the warm welcome, and continued cooperation was affirmed to support student activities and events in the future.

The Cultural and Social Activities Department in Abu Qir supervised the attendance of the students of the Faculty of Pharmacy Academy to the conference (Health Innovation: Redefining Drug Discovery and Health Care) at the German University on 8/2/2025.

In continuation of the cooperation between the Deanship of Student Affairs headed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El-Azm and the Faculty of Pharmacy headed by Prof. Dr. Amira Sonbol, the Department of Cultural and Social Activities supervised the attendance of students of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Alexandria Academy to the conference "Health Innovation: Redefining Drug Discovery and Healthcare" at the German University in Cairo on 2/8/2025.The visit included a tour of the university and a lecture on the importance of development and innovation in the pharmaceutical industry and international cooperation in scientific research.These participations come within the directives of Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag - President of the Academy - to train students practically and develop their scientific skills.The invitation reflects the Academy's position among major educational institutions and its keenness to maintain permanent cooperation with various universities inside and outside Egypt.

Abu Qir

The Department of Cultural and Social Activities in Abu Qir, with the participation of the Academy’s students, organized initiatives for inclusiveness and awareness of the rights of people with disabilities on 9/11/2024.

The Academy is a leading educational institution with a history and experience in education and management, and has a positive role in development and social peace. The Academy’s students participated in the comprehensive campaign to raise awareness of the rights of people with disabilities launched by the Ministry of Higher Education in cooperation with Hope Donors, in order to promote inclusiveness and cooperation in the university community. The Department of Cultural and Social Activities organized the students’ participation in the campaign on November 9, 2024. The Academy is proud of its students and supports them in their educational and professional journey.

Abu Qir

The Department of Cultural and Social Activities in Abu Qir supervised a symposium on presidential initiatives and sustainable development 2024 on 11/6/2024.

The Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, headed by Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar, is hosting a symposium on Presidential Initiatives and Sustainable Development on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Al Farsi Hall. The symposium comes within the presidential initiative "The Beginning of Human Building", and will bring together a number of statesmen and civil society institutions. Speakers from outside the Academy will participate in the symposium, including Representative Mohamed Abdel Aziz and Counselor Hesham Shebeita, in addition to a speech by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mahmoud Abu El Azm, the Academy's representative. All students and faculty members are invited to attend the symposium and participate actively in it.

Miami

The Department of Cultural and Social Activities in Miami organized a financial inclusion seminar to enhance financial awareness among youth at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport on: 22/10/2024.

An introductory seminar on financial inclusion for youth was held at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, in the presence of Cairo Bank officials and a large number of students. The importance of this event was highlighted, which included providing valuable information and free account opening offers. The seminar was characterized by fruitful cooperation between the Academy’s management and the guests, which added an honorable touch to the event.

The Department of Cultural and Social Activity in Babi Qir organized a symposium entitled “Empowering Youth,” in which Dr. Dina Hilal - Member of the Senate, lectured on: 4/12/2023

The Academy believes in the role of youth in shaping the future of the nation and the state’s interest in youth. As one of the oldest and strongest educational institutions in the Middle East, it places among its priorities “preparing its graduates to compete in the labor market, and in doing so, it spares no effort” in making available everything that enhances the personality of its students scientifically and culturally.
In line with this strategy and under the directives of His Excellency Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Academy, and under the patronage of Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahmoud Abu Al-Azm - Dean of Student Affairs and Dr. Ahmed Khalifa, Assistant Dean of Student Affairs, the Department of Cultural Activity at the Deanship of Student Affairs carried out a cultural symposium on Monday 2023. /12/4 entitled “Youth Empowerment”, in which Dr. Dina Hilal - a member of the Senate - lectured and explained to the students the extent of the state’s interest in preparing youth cadres and the need for students to be aware of their role in creating a bright future for Egypt and the necessity of defining their goals and developing their abilities and skills and the extent of the state’s interest in empowering youth. To undertake the development process by occupying leadership positions. The symposium received a great turnout and interaction from the students. At the end of the lecture, Dr. Muhammad Mahmoud Abu Al-Azm - Dean of Student Affairs thanked and honored Dr. Dina Hilal for the valuable lecture.
We promise to repeat such seminars that enhance the capabilities of our students and refine their experiences.
