Sphinx is a student family established in 2024 within the Computer Science Department – Abu Qir Branch – College of Applied and Technological Sciences (AAST), originally founded under the name “Al.Js.” The family is currently undergoing a brand redesign to reflect the expansion of its activities and impact. With more than 300 active students from various majors, 8Sphinx is evolving toward developing real, impactful projects that serve students and the wider community. The family adopts a continuous development approach, updating its initiatives every academic semester to address emerging student challenges.

The Al-Mibiya family is a student family specializing in the technical field, whose activities focus on spreading awareness and knowledge in the fields of cybersecurity and modern technologies among the academy's students.
The student body offers a range of specialized events and activities, most notably Cyber Security Events, which aim to introduce students to the fundamentals of information security, methods of protection against cyberattacks, and the latest challenges in the digital world. This is achieved through simplified scientific content that combines theoretical and practical aspects. The student body also organizes interactive online web sessions, hosting specialists and experienced students to present modern technical topics and discuss tools and technologies used in the job market. This contributes to developing students' digital skills and enhancing their professional readiness. Through its activities, the student body strives to build a technology-conscious student community capable of keeping pace with the rapid developments in cybersecurity, while providing an unconventional learning environment that supports lifelong learning and the exchange of experiences among students.
