This course is for those intending to acquire the competence to audit an organization’s entire FSMS to meet the requirements of ISO 22000 and the FSSC 22000 scheme, either as a third or second-party auditor.
Successful completion of this CQI and IRCA Certified FSSC 22000 Lead Auditor (FSMS) Training (within the five years prior to making an application to become a certificated auditor) will satisfy the training requirement for certification as an IRCA Certificated FSMS auditor.

Day 1: Foundation and Introduction
Introduction to Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS): The purpose and business benefits of an FSMS.
Auditing Principles: Understanding the types of audits, the audit lifecycle, and core auditing principles.
Understanding FSSC 22000 Version 6 Requirements:
A deep dive into the clauses of ISO 22000:2018 (Clauses 1-10).
The role of the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle in management systems.
Detailed review of the FSSC 22000 Version 6 additional requirements.
Understanding Prerequisite Programs (PRPs) as per ISO/TS 22002-1.
Day 2: Audit Planning
Roles and Responsibilities: Defining the roles of the lead auditor, the audit team, and the auditee.
Pre-Audit Planning:
Establishing the audit program and objectives.
Performing a document review.
Preparing the audit plan and working documents, including checklists.
The Opening Meeting: Preparing for and conducting an effective opening meeting.
Day 3: Conducting the Audit
