Mechanical Engineering is concerned with the development and use of new technologies and the design of new processes and products, which mainly involve moving elements and/or energy utilization such as motor vehicles, aircraft systems, engines, pumps, gas turbines, thermal power plants, air conditioning and refrigeration systems, manufacturing processes, oil and gas industries, Mechatronics systems and even space stations.
The Ph.D. program in Mechanical Engineering offers high quality education that develops the ability to innovate, create and prepare advanced and prepares students for advanced academic research and professional careers in one of the following specializations: Energy and Power, Refrigeration and Air conditioning, Applied Mechanics, Automotive and Mechatronics.
