Recent Developments in Thermal Insulation Technology
The seminar was delivered by Engineer Fadi Kamal, the Vice President of ROCKAL FOR INSULATION MATERIALS. This event was organized in collaboration between the Mechanical Engineering Department at the College of Engineering and Technology in Abu Qir and in partnership with the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) - ASHRAE Alexandria Chapter. Professor Dr. Ahmed Farouk Al-Safti, the President of ASHRAE Alexandria Chapter, was also present.
Rockal is one of the largest companies specialized in manufacturing insulation materials and a pioneer in stone wool insulation in the Middle East and Africa.
Engineer Fadi Kamal explained various fundamentals of insulation, its types, and its different industrial applications, such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning. These applications contribute to enhancing the efficiency of institutions, optimizing consumption, and reducing emissions, thereby serving the public good and achieving sustainable development goals.
