The Arab Academy and the Addiction Control and Treatment Fund launch an awareness program for about 29,000 students about the dangers of drugs

Within the framework of implementing the National Strategy for Combating Drugs and Reducing the Risks of Abuse and Addiction "2024_2028", and in cooperation with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, the Addiction Control and Treatment Fund launched a comprehensive program aimed at educating 29,000 male and female students about the dangers of drug abuse and addiction.
The launch ceremony was attended by Dr. Amr Othman, Director of the Addiction Control and Treatment Fund, and Professor Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghaffar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. A cooperation protocol was signed that includes a set of basic axes, including implementing innovative awareness programs and providing specialized training courses to qualify cadres working in the field of addiction prevention and treatment.
This initiative aims to raise students' awareness of the harms of drug abuse and introduce them to the free services provided by the Fund, including the Fund's hotline "16023". The activities will also include organizing qualitative competitions among students on anti-addiction topics, and conducting early screening of students applying to join the academy.
As part of enhancing the economic empowerment of recovering individuals, the academy will provide them with specialized training to support their entry into the labor market, in addition to sports and cultural activities aimed at raising awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.
During the ceremony, a sports marathon was organized under the slogan "You are stronger than drugs," where a series of sports activities and games were implemented, in addition to awareness initiatives to correct misconceptions about drugs and their negative effects.
These efforts come in light of the state's keenness to protect young people from the dangers of addiction and enhance community awareness of the importance of prevention and treatment, in a step that reflects the government's commitment to achieving sustainable development and protecting future generations.

The full tournament will be held at the Eagles Club grounds in Sheraton.
The course starts on (March 11, 2025).
All matches are held after breakfast at (9 - 11 pm).
The last date for registration for the course is (February 28, 2025).
The team consists of (two players (5) main (3) reserve.
The tournament is played in a one-time knockout system, and the organizing committee has the right to determine the playing system
According to the number of participating teams.
All matches are played in two 20-minute halves
The duration of each half is (10 minutes), with (1) minutes of rest between them.
No student from outside the academy is allowed to participate
In the course and is not registered in the registration lists.
Failure to follow the instructions of the referee or supervisor will
