Kayak Festival
Amid the enchanting beauty of the Nile and Aswan, the Sports Activity Department, under the supervision of the Student Affairs Department at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – South Valley Branch, organized a Kayak Festival.
The event was attended by students of the branch in an atmosphere filled with energy, adventure, enthusiasm, and sportsmanship.
The festival featured a unique atmosphere that combined sports activities with enjoyment of the beautiful nature and the charm of the Nile River in Aswan.
Sports Day for the College
In cooperation with the College of Management and Technology, a special Sports Day was organized for the college amid remarkable interaction and participation from students and faculty members, in the presence of the Dean of the College.
The Sports Day witnessed active participation from students and faculty members, contributing to the strengthening of cooperation and sporting competition among all participants.
At the conclusion of the Sports Day, the Dean of the College of Management and Technology, accompanied by a group of faculty members, presented the medals provided by the esteemed college and awarded them to the winning students in recognition of their performance and encouragement to continue participating in sports activities.
Conclusion of the Football League at the South Valley Branch
The South Valley Branch Football League concluded in an outstanding manner. The Sports Activity Department, under the supervision of the Student Affairs Department, organized the tournament with the participation of 18 teams, all of which delivered strong and honorable performances reflecting genuine competition and commitment to sportsmanship.
At the conclusion of the competition, the Daraw team claimed the championship title after an outstanding performance throughout the league.

Aswan Governor and President of the Arab Academy Inaugurate the New Five-a-Side Football Pitch at the South Valley Branch
H.E. Major General Dr. Ismail Kamal, Governor of Aswan, and H.E. Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag, President of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, inaugurated the new five-a-side football pitch at the Academy's Aswan Branch as part of the Academy's commitment to supporting and developing sports infrastructure at the South Valley Branch.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Dr. Loay Saad El-Din, Acting President of Aswan University, Dr. Ahmed Khalaf, Director of the Academy's Sports Departments, in addition to a number of Academy and branch leaders.
The Governor of Aswan praised the Academy's interest in establishing and developing sports infrastructure at the Aswan Branch, emphasizing that the new five-a-side football pitch reflects the Academy's commitment to providing all elements of success for its students in both educational and sporting facilities.
Prof. Dr. Ismail Abdel Ghafar Ismail Farag stated that the Academy attaches great importance to establishing and developing sports fields and facilities across its branches alongside the development of educational buildings and facilities, thereby providing an integrated environment for students and enabling them to discover their potential and develop their sporting and personal skills.

Marathon, Rowing and Yoga… An Integrated Day Aimed at Building Student Character on Scientific Foundations
As part of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport's commitment to promoting healthy physical and psychological lifestyles among students and spreading health awareness among young people, the Student Affairs Department at the South Valley Branch organized an extensive sports and awareness event under the slogan “Healthy Day,” in cooperation with The Zen Wellness Resort MGM.
The day aimed to present an integrated model combining sports, health awareness, and mental clarity, contributing to the development of a balanced student personality and supporting the educational process through attention to students' physical and psychological health.
The program included a variety of sports activities, beginning with a walking marathon and a cycling race, in addition to kayaking, which received great interest and enthusiastic participation from students, as well as yoga and meditation sessions aimed at promoting relaxation, clarity, and mental balance.
As health is an integrated system, the day also included educational and awareness activities, including a session on the foundations of proper nutrition and how to build an athletic body, as well as a discussion on the importance of mental health and psychological balance as essential pillars for academic success and personal stability.
The event also activated the “Tobacco-Free Generation” initiative, aimed at raising awareness among young people about the dangers of smoking and its harmful effects on human health and the environment, while encouraging students to adopt healthy lifestyles.
The organizers emphasized that the Academy places great importance on caring for its students physically and psychologically and is keen to provide an integrated educational environment combining education, sports, and health awareness, contributing to the preparation of a conscious generation capable of positive contribution to society in line with Egypt's vision for human development and comprehensive progress.

Orphan's Day Celebration – South Valley Branch
Under the supervision of the Student Affairs Department and with the participation of South Valley Branch students, and coinciding with Orphan's Day celebrations observed on the first Friday of April, the Social Activity Department organized a celebration at the Academy in the presence of children from Al-Noor School for the Blind and the School of Intellectual Education in Aswan.
The day's activities took place in an atmosphere filled with joy and happiness and included numerous recreational events and activities that brought delight to the children.
The children also presented distinguished artistic and folk performances that reflected their talents and abilities and created an atmosphere of joy and interaction between the children and Academy students.
The celebration also included a variety of games and recreational activities with positive interaction between the children and Academy students, reflecting the values of cooperation, solidarity, and community participation.

Based on the directives of H.E. the President of the Academy and under the supervision of the Student Affairs Department, a closing ceremony was organized for the children participating in the “Tomorrow's Hope” initiative, with the participation of South Valley Branch students.
The day was filled with joy and happiness as Academy students interacted with the children through a variety of games and recreational activities in an atmosphere of friendliness, joy, and positive participation.
The ceremony concluded with the distribution of gifts to the children in recognition of their regular participation and excellence and to encourage them to continue achieving success.
Closing Ceremony of Cultural, Social and Sports Activities for the Academic Year 2025/2026
Based on the directives of H.E. the President of the Academy, the Student Affairs Department at the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport – South Valley Branch organized the closing ceremony for the cultural, social, and sports activities for the academic year 2025/2026, amid pride and joy over the excellence and creativity demonstrated by Academy students throughout the year.
