About the International Competition
The MATE International ROV Competition is one of the world’s leading underwater robotics championships. Student teams from around the globe design, build, and operate ROVs to complete realistic underwater missions inspired by the marine industry, environmental research, offshore energy, and ocean exploration.
Egypt at the World Championship
Through the Regional Informatics Center (RIC), outstanding Egyptian teams qualify to represent Egypt in the MATE International ROV Competition, competing alongside teams from universities and schools worldwide while demonstrating engineering excellence and innovation.
